Punjab Government Laptop Scheme 2025 – Eligibility, Application & Merit List

The Punjab government has introduced a laptop distribution scheme designed to equip students with digital tools. Led by Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, this initiative aims to benefit students throughout Punjab. A recent high-level review meeting finalized the eligibility criteria, application procedure, and merit list announcement.

Key Highlights of the Laptop Scheme

  • Targeted Beneficiaries: First and second-semester students

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    • BS Students: Minimum 65% marks in intermediate exams

    • Medical Students: Minimum 80% marks in intermediate exams

  • Application Portal: Online application system to be launched soon

  • Merit List: To be announced after application review

  • Honhaar Scholarship Programme: The second phase will be launched concurrently with the laptop distribution.

General Eligibility

Category Minimum Marks Required
BS Students 65% in intermediate
Medical Students 80% in intermediate

Additional Conditions

  • Must be enrolled in a government-recognized institution in Punjab

  • Available for first and second-semester students only

  • Students already receiving a government laptop are not eligible

Application Process

The Punjab government has instructed officials to speed up the development of the online application portal. Students will be able to submit applications through a dedicated website once it is launched.
